The Center for Leadership Education offers academic programs and experiential learning opportunities focusing on innovation and leadership to students at all levels in the Whiting School of Engineering, the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Public Health, and the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Whether students hope to gain experience in innovation and enterprise design, new venture creation, product development, product management, consulting, marketing and communications, leadership and management, accounting and finance, or data analytics, they will find a student-centered home in CLE.
CLE faculty are seasoned professionals in their disciplines as well as experienced teachers and mentors who can provide a resourceful sounding board for students searching for an internship, networking with industry professionals, and hashing through career decisions.
Throughout the CLE, courses are focused on real world projects with corporate and nonprofit partners including the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Danfoss, the NATO Innovation Hub and the Nonprofit Alliance, among others. Students acquire hands-on experience working in interdisciplinary and international teams, managing projects, creating business plans, crafting professional presentations, and developing marketing campaigns in and outside of the classroom.
