Carey Arkwright

Carey is a Towson University graduate, with a BS in Art. Carey has had a broad array of professional experiences working as an organic chemistry technician, an art camp instructor, and more recently as an architectural model designer. She grew up in the Mid-West and Central Maryland, and has been a campus neighbor for 14 years, and has lived in Baltimore for over 20 years.

Cindy Plain

Cindy Plain is the Administrative Manager in the CLE. She has been with Hopkins since 2016, first at the Homewood Student Health and Wellness Center, and moved to the Whiting School of Engineering in April of 2021. Cindy is responsible for the oversight of administrative and financial activities of the department, along with providing leadership, planning, and management direction to the department. She holds a BS in Business and Finance and BA in History from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Outside the office, Cindy enjoys spending time with her three adult children, is active in missions in Baltimore City with her church, and has a passion for gardening, reading historical fiction and going on long hikes.

Lindsey Menzies

Lindsey Menzies (formerly Conklin) is a Sr. Academic Program Coordinator in the CLE and manages the MSEM Program, the Clark Scholars and the Professional Development Program. She is new to Baltimore, after receiving her Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina (she also holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland and BA in English and writing from Gettysburg College). Lindsey grew up abroad, in Europe, Asia and Bermuda, and is excited to now call Maryland home. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys baking, traveling, writing, running and playing with her corgis: Judd & Winnie, and her nephews, Jack, Charlie, Danny, Sam & Mark.

Emily Myrick

Emily is a Sr. Academic Program Coordinator in the CLE. She advises the Entrepreneurship & Management, Marketing & Communications, and Leadership Studies minors. She also supports the annual JHU Business Plan Competition, CLE Connect, and several student-run organizations sponsored by the CLE. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland as well as MA and BA degrees in English from Georgia State University. Emily has worked in higher education for over a decade in both faculty and administrative positions.
