Staff

Carey is a Senior Administrative Coordinator. She has been with the CLE for eight years, and has lived in Baltimore for over 25 years. She is a Towson University graduate, with a BS in Art.

Cindy Plain is the Administrative Manager in the CLE. She has been with Hopkins since 2016, first at the Homewood Student Health and Wellness Center, and moved to the Whiting School of Engineering in April of 2021. Cindy is responsible for the oversight of administrative and financial activities of the department, along with providing leadership, planning, and management direction to the department. She holds a BS in Business and Finance and BA in History from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Outside the office, Cindy enjoys spending time with her three adult children, is active in missions in Baltimore City with her church, and has a passion for gardening, reading historical fiction and going on long hikes.

Emily is a senior communications specialist in the CLE. She plans CLE's special events, including HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge and CLE Connect, as well as smaller programs throughout the year. She also manages the CLE and HopStart websites, CLE social media accounts, creates content to promote CLE activities, and assists with recruitment activities. Emily has an MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland as well as MA and BA degrees in English from Georgia State University.

Corale is an Academic Program Coordinator in the CLE and advises the Accounting & Financial Management, Entrepreneurship & Management, Leadership Studies, and Marketing & Communications minors. Corale is a Penn State University graduate with a Master of Education in Higher Education and holds a BA in Economics & Business Administration from Bridgewater College. In her free time, she enjoys doing Bikram yoga, reading, and exploring Baltimore.
