On October 13, the Dynamic Brace team (Hannah Yamagata, Delphine Tan, and Jenlu Pagnotta) was named undergraduate runner-up in the Inventor’s Hall of Fame’s Collegiate Inventors Competition. The team developed their invention in the course Multidisciplinary Engineering Design 1 and 2. The Dynamic Brace provides a more comfortable alternative to the existing braces that treat clubfoot in children. The team will receive $5,000 in prize money and an patent acceleration certificate.
