On Friday, April 26, The Center for Leadership Education hosted the 24th annual HopStart: Hopkins New Venture Challenge. HopStart is a startup pitch competition open to all undergraduate and graduate students at Johns Hopkins University.
At the event, over 50 teams pitched their startups to panels of judges over two rounds of competition for a chance to win up to $5000 in prizes. At the awards ceremony, Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council, encouraged competitors to continue with their startups and contribute to the lively tech ecosystem in Maryland. A-Level Capital, HopStone Capital, the Pava Center for Entrepreneurship sponsored additional prizes.
