CLE has an incredibly diverse body of successful alumni across the globe. We strive to connect with our graduates and provide them with the tools and services to support their entrepreneurial endeavors.  We welcome them as guest speakers in our classrooms.  And we encourage them to network and mentor one another as well as current students.

Get Involved

Opportunities to get involved with CLE include:

  • mentoring students
  • guest speaking in classes
  • recruiting interns or entry-level hires
  • attending networking receptions organized by Alumni Relations
  • judging the business plan and oral presentation competitions
  • supervising and reviewing team projects and presentations
  • guiding/mentoring student businesses through their very early stages
  • offering feedback and support for student ideas and projects


Tech Transfer

The Johns Hopkins Technology Transfer Office (JHTT) is the University’s intellectual property administration center, serving Johns Hopkins researchers and inventors as a licensing, patent, and technology commercialization office and acting as an active liaison to parties interested in leveraging JHU research or materials for academic or corporate endeavors.

Emerging Technology Center at JHU Eastern

Housing several ventures started by JHU alum, the ETC is a technology business incubator located in Baltimore. They assist with business planning, market assessments, technology assessments, funding preparation, product roll-out and many other elements of an early stage company’s development.  Their mentoring and coaching services are provided by a combination of in-house staff, volunteer members of the Baltimore business community and outside service providers. The next steps in the process for interested entrepreneurs are as follows:

  • Schedule a meeting to tour an ETC facility and to meet the ETC professional staff.
