CLE Lecturer Melanie Shimano appears on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list

Melanie Shimano (WSE, 2014, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering & WSE, 2015, MS in Engineering Management) was recently selected as a member of Forbes’ 2020 class of 30 under 30 in the education category and of Baltimore Business Journal’s 2019 class of 40 under 40.

Shimano teaches Business Analytics and Oral Presentations as a part-time faculty member in the Center for Leadership Education. She is also a Baltimore Corps Fellow with Baltimore City’s Department of General Services and the founder and director of the Food Computer Program, a high school curriculum that teaches students to build and code Food Computers (computer-controlled tabletop greenhouses) and develop food systems solutions that meet the needs of the Baltimore City community.
