Delphine Tan and Jenlu Pagnotta work on the Dynamic Brace during a class session in Multidisciplinary Engineering Design.

A team of students from the course Multidisciplinary Engineering Design have been named finalists in the 2022 Collegiate Inventors Competition for their design that improves the treatment of clubfoot in children. Their device, called the Dynamic Brace, offers a softer, lighter, and more comfortable alternative to other braces on the market. Seniors Delphine Tan and Hannah Yamagata and recent graduate Jenlu Pagnotta will present their device to a panel of judges from the National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees and the US Patent and Trademark Office on October 12 and winners will be announced on October 13.
