Marie Eric is an engineer and founder focused on building and scaling biomaterials that can move from research into real world use. Her work sits at the intersection of material science, sustainability, and commercialization, with a focus on developing practical alternatives to traditional plastics. She holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Her academic research focused on cell engineering and biomaterials in wound healing contexts. Her work has been featured on The Tonight Show, CNN, NBC, and TIME Best Inventions. Originally from Los Angeles, she now lives in New York City and has embraced life as a converted east coaster.
