Julie Reiser is a senior lecturer who directs the CLE’s Marketing and Communication Program and The Professional Communication Program. She teaches courses in technical and professional communication, dissertation writing, travel writing, science communication, and oral presentations. Prior to joining the CLE, Julie was a full-time lecturer at Towson University where she taught American literature, creative writing, and composition. She has also worked as a technical writer/editor, manuscript consultant, and ghostwriter. Her latest article, “‘Thinking in Cartoons’: Reclaiming Spiegelman’s In the Shadow of No Towers,” was published in The Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics in 2014. Her story, “The Hippie Picnic,” won third place in The Writer Magazine’s “Tell It Strange” Contest. She is an assistant editor for Narrative Magazine.
