As a master’s or doctoral student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, you will take part in the latest discoveries and learn about the most current applications of biomolecular research. Our MSE and PhD programs draw upon the excellence of our faculty and are strengthened through our collaborations across the university, including with the renowned Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and other departments in the Whiting School of Engineering.

Our faculty growth has enabled us to deepen our expertise in computer simulation, machine learning, and nanoscience, and all of our graduate students benefit from the interdisciplinary research collaborations we have with colleagues across the school and university, including in the Institute for NanoBioTechnology, the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and nearby government laboratories, including the NIH and NIST.
