What are we aiming for?

At both the undergraduate and graduate level, the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering’s academic programs provide all students with a deep knowledge of fundamentals in chemical engineering, as well as an understanding of emerging fields and their applications.

With a focus on defining and solving a broad range of critical societal problems, innovating technological advances, and advancing scientific discovery, we prepare students for professional leadership, no matter what career path they may choose.

Our state-of-the-art labs, supercomputer-class computational facilities, and access to the full resources of the nation’s leading research institution give you unrivalled opportunities to learn, innovate, be mentored by experts who are redefining the boundaries of their fields, and contribute to the creation of knowledge.

Since transferring to Johns Hopkins, I’ve been amazed at how accessible opportunities are, both within ChemBE and beyond. The high caliber of my peers constantly drives me to broaden my involvement, pushing me to achieve more than I ever anticipated.
