As senior director of corporate engagement at Johns Hopkins University, Goswami works with the vice dean for research and translation and other senior leaders at the Whiting School of Engineering to provide strategic leadership on research, translation, and educational activities. In this role, he supports and encourages universitywide programs for deeper engagement among JHU’s researchers, industry partners, universities, governmental agencies, and foundations around the world. He leads the Office of Corporate Engagement which works with faculty and researchers across campus to assist in the ongoing growth and maintenance of research and educational partnerships with industry sponsors.

Joy has a strong background in science, business, and patent law. He is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a patent agent and is a reviewer for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR/STTR) program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is a Howard Bremer Scholar, an honor conferred by AUTM, and a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) with the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals. Goswami holds a master’s in molecular biology from Delhi University and an MBA from the Herberger School of Business, St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. He has been affiliated with AUTM, a global nonprofit organization that educates, promotes, and inspires professionals to support the development of academic research and innovation, and is currently serving as its chair-elect.
