The Office of Engineering Advising furnishes each undergraduate engineering student with a professional academic advisor, who provides curricular and co-curricular academic support from matriculation to graduation.

Provide expert advice that empowers students in undergraduate engineering programs to define and pursue their academic, personal, and professional goals.

OEA’s Mission

Use evidence-based and pedagogically sound approaches to help students navigate their academic choices, explore meaningful learning opportunities, and engage in JHU’s diverse campus community.

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to steward equitable policies and identify learning experiences that cultivate JHU WSE undergraduate students’ holistic development and well-being.

Advise, support, and educate students

We provide a framework for undergraduate students to achieve intellectual, personal, and professional growth.

Establish and maintain policies

We ensure enriching, rigorous, and fair academic practices in collaboration with the academic departments and university partners.
