Olek Pisera (BS ChemBE) won a highly selective Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship which honors the academic achievements of new Americans.  Olek was a talented undergraduate researcher in the Ostermeier lab and is now a PhD student studying synthetic biology.

Nisita Dutta (BS and MS ChemBE) received a prestigious Gates-Cambridge Scholarship allowing her to complete her PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK. Nisita conducted her UG and MS research in the Ostermeier lab as well as UG research in the Schulman lab.  She is now creating nanobody-drug conjugates to treat pancreatic cancer.
