
Two ChemBE seniors, Katie Smith and Riya Gupta, are, in their own words, “passionate about sustainability in the food system.” They were chosen to present in the AASHE conference (Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education) in October in Spokane, Washington. The workshop focused on “Sustaining Local Producers Through University Purchasing” and highlighted their research as interns in the JHU dining department.
