MSE Day 2023 featured research from nine students in fulfillment of the oral presentation requirement for graduation from the master’s program. Attendees completed a poll to choose their favorite presentation of the day, and the top pick was Angie Martinez for “Leveraging Magnetic Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery to the Inner Ear.”
Martinez is part of the Chao Wang Lab, and was advised by PhD candidate Mukund Goyal. This project also incorporated faculty and students from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, which Martinez described as the best part.
“It was a very cool interdisciplinary project,” she said. “Being able to work with people from so many different backgrounds all working on the same project … and all their different approaches to the same question.”
