The Hopkins Chem-E Car team competed in the Chem-E Car competition at the April 10-11 mid-Atlantic meeting of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. The Hopkins car placed 6th in the competition and the team earned a spot to compete against teams across the nation in the next AIChE National Conference in Salt Lake City.
The Chem-E Car competition challenges students to design a car powered solely on chemical reactions. The car must carry a specified load over a given distance and stop.
