Philip Dorsey, a Ph.D. student in Rebecca Schulman’s group in ChemBE won 1st place in the Nanoscale Science and Engineering Poster competition at this year’s AIChE. In Phil’s poster, entitled “DNA Attractor Patterns,” he shows how systems of molecules can collectively create and heal a chemical pattern over length scales of hundreds of microns, a key to step the development of complex self-healing devices and therapeutics.
