The JHU student delegation at the AIChe conference in Phoenix

The annual student conference for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers was held in Phoenix recently, and three students from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering won awards in the undergraduate poster contest. Jackson Boodry, junior (Bukowski Lab), won first place in the “Computing and Process Control” category; Nick Oh, junior (Spangler Lab) won first place in the “Food, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology” category; and Xin (Jason) Zhang, senior (Bukowski and McQueen Labs), won second place in the “Materials Engineering and Sciences” category. There were a total of 416 posters presented across all categories.
