Lilian Lam Josephson is a lecturer in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Josephson’s research expertise centers on liquid product design and innovation. Her professional background includes valuable experience and industry connections in consumer packaged goods, complemented by graduate training in biopharmaceutical development.

At ChemBE, Josephson teaches the engineering design process in the capstone undergraduate Product Design courses, mentoring student leaders and teams in user-centered design principles from needs assessment to business case development. She also leads curriculum enhancements and strategic initiatives across the ChemBE undergraduate program. Josephson’s vision is to expand the ChemBE design curriculum and support design excellence across undergraduate and graduate programs.

Josephson has a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.
