Pranay Tyle was a recipient of the department’s Francis J. Fisher Award and Sarah K. Doshna Undergraduate Research Award in 2015.
Pranay Tyle is a current junior double majoring in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Natural Sciences, with a minor in Economics. He was born and brought up in New Delhi, India and attended high school at the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore. Pranay currently conducts research with Dr. Denis Wirtz at the Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT). His research is focused on the influence of cell density and secretomic profiles on cancer metastasis. He has previously been conferred the Provost Undergraduate Research Award in recognition of his research as part of the Wirtz lab.
As a well-seasoned traveler having traveled to over thirty-seven countries, Pranay has been exposed to a global environment that has helped him understand the importance of education in the growth of region. This led him to co-found the Tyle Family Foundation, a non-profit devoted to making education an achievable goal for those who cannot afford it. One of Pranay’s first initiatives with the foundation was supporting a school that provides a basic level of education to underage girls who were trafficked by their families.
Pranay’s other interests include finance, and he has previously held internships at One Equity Partners, and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
