Kent is a PhD candidate in the Betenbaugh lab and a talented teacher. He served as the TA for the “Process Dynamics in Controls” course in Fall 2021 and in “Process Design with Aspen” in Spring 2022. His letters of support from students and faculty illustrated that many students specifically sought him out during his office hours for help, knowing that he would provide patient and thoughtful guidance. Kent cares about the students and their mastery of the content, and he has consistently helped them however he can.  He displayed a natural instinct for teaching at the appropriate level. As a member of the teaching team, he has been a tremendous resource for both brainstorming and troubleshooting instruction-related issues, bringing both enthusiasm and knowledge into that role.
