More than 400 high school students will take part in Engineering Innovation’s Spaghetti Bridge Competition.

This summer, the Engineering Innovation immersive program is being held at 12 sites, from California and Ohio to Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Baltimore area students explored everything from computer programming and video game design to how to engineer a package that will keep ice cream cold as it travels from the factory to retail outlets.

As part of an educational outreach program aimed at exposing Baltimore City middle school students to the principles of engineering, sixth graders from Lakeland and Barclay Middle Schools came to Johns Hopkins’ Homewood campus to study biomedical engineering.

The Maryland/DC Campus Compact has included the Charm City Science League (CCSL), a Johns Hopkins student group dedicated to engaging Baltimore City youth in STEM activities, in its 2016 listing of model programs.
