Rising to the Challenge Campaign

In October, the university’s $6 billion university-wide fundraising campaign officially came to a close. The money raised during the eight-and-a-half-year campaign has been nothing short of transformative. Some highlights, specific to the Whiting School:

During Rising to the Challenge, the Whiting School created:

• 67 Endowed undergraduate scholarships
• 34 Endowed graduate fellowships
• 15 Endowed professorships
• 6 Faculty scholarships

And received:

• $292,612,735 (106% of goal)
• 26,974 gifts under $1,000, totaling $6,195,065
• 2,525 gifts $1,000–$99,999, totaling $25,017,515
• 65% of gifts came from alumni
