Natalia Trayanova

Natalia Trayanova, the Murray B. Sachs Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been named a Fellow of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA).

This title recognizes the professional achievements of scholars and scientists who have made exceptional contributions to cardiac rhythm research, distinguishing themselves in clinical, educational, and organizational aspects of the field.

Trayanova has pioneered the clinical use of 3D virtual heart models that, using personalized patient data, improve our ability to diagnose of heart disease, reduce treatment complications, and improve patient outcomes. She co-directs the Alliance for Cardiovascular Diagnostic and Treatment Innovation (ADVANCE), a research institute aimed at applying predictive data-driven approaches, computational modeling, and innovations in cardiac imaging to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. She also leads the Computational Cardiology Laboratory.
