Abhishek Jain, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, is a recipient of the National Science Foundation’s Early CAREER Award, which recognizes early stage scholars with high levels of promise and excellence.

Jain’s research concerns with all aspects of cryptography and related topics in theoretical computer science. His five-year CAREER Award will support his project, “New Frontiers in Computing on Private Data,” which will explore new methods to enable secure multi-party computation. The project also includes outreach activities to raise the Baltimore community’s awareness of security and cryptography.

The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is a Foundation-wide activity that offers the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious awards in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
