Johns Hopkins Engineering students mentor girls from Baltimore-area schools on renewable energy and the engineering design process.

As part of an educational outreach program aimed at exposing Baltimore City middle school students to the principles of engineering, sixth graders from Lakeland and Barclay Middle Schools came to Johns Hopkins’ Homewood campus to study biomedical engineering.

The Maryland/DC Campus Compact has included the Charm City Science League (CCSL), a Johns Hopkins student group dedicated to engaging Baltimore City youth in STEM activities, in its 2016 listing of model programs.
