Wei Shen is an assistant research professor in the Department of Computer Science, with research interests focusing on computer vision, deep learning, and biomedical image analysis.
Shen has over 40 peer-reviewed publications in machine learning and computer vision-related areas, including IEEE Trans. PAMI, IEEE Trans. Image Processing, NIPS, ICML, ICCV, CVPR, and ECCV.
He received his BS and Ph.D. degree, both in electronics and information engineering, from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2007 and 2012. He joined the Whiting School of Engineering in 2016.
