Lucas Buccafusca is a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Buccafusca’s research interests are in distributed control, learning, distributed optimization, and nonlinear systems. Applications of his research are primarily used for wind farm arrays.
He is a National Science Foundation Grant recipient, has received numerous awards, and his research has been featured in publications such as the Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy and IEEE conference publications.
He received his PhD in industrial and systems engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2013 from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
