Jung-Hee Seo is an associate research professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and a member of the Flow Physics and Computation Laboratory.
Seo’s research interests lie in multi-physics simulation of physiological systems, hemodynamics and bioacoustics, flow dynamics and sensing in bio-locomotion, two-phase flow with cavitation and bubble dynamics, large eddy simulation and computational aeroacoustics, and immersed boundary method and high-order numerical method.
His current projects include: coupled chemo-fluidic computational modeling for the prediction of left ventricle thrombus risk, computational modeling of blood flow induced heart sounds and bioprosthetic aortic valves, and designing a peristaltic heart pump.
Seo earned his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Korea University in 2006.
