Beryl Castello is a senior lecturer in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics. She is also a program coordinator for Applied and Computational Mathematics in JHU’s Engineering for Professionals Program. Her research interests include operations research, discrete optimization, facility location, and inventory modeling.

She received BS degrees in Applied Mathematics and Management Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; an MS in Operations Research and Statistics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; and a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. She has been an instructor for AMS since 2005.
