Ali Uneri is a research associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, working in the Imaging for Surgery, Therapy, and Radiology Lab (I-STAR).

Uneri’s research focuses on the development of algorithms and systems for computer-assisted, image-guided, and robotic surgery. Areas of interest include: model-based and data-driven multidimensional image registration, hardware and software systems integration for image-guided interventions, and incorporation of imaging and image guidance in surgical robotics.

He holds a BS in mechatronics from Sabanci University and an MS in bioengineering from Imperial College, London. Uneri received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in computer science in 2016.
