Ed Schlesinger is the Benjamin T. Rome Dean at Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering where he also is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The Executive Council is a group of thought leaders with a breadth of expertise in their individual subject areas who meet regularly with the dean to advise him on matters that directly affect the mission and values of the school.

Leaders from each business area of the school offer their subject-matter expertise and guidance on realizing our vision.

Each department head leads the education, research, and translational activities of the department while advising the dean about how these initiatives align with the overall goals for the school.
