Somnath Ghosh Receives IACM Computational Mechanics Award

Somnath Ghosh, the Michael G. Callas Chair Professor in the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering, is the recipient of the 2020 International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM) Computational Mechanics Award, which is conferred every two years to honor exceptional accomplishments in computational mechanics.

Ghosh’s research focuses on computational mechanics modeling, particularly multi-scale structure-materials analysis and simulations, multi-physics modeling and simulation of multi-functional materials, materials characterization, process modeling, and emerging fields like Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME).
