Suchi Saria, the John C. Malone Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, has been selected as a Young Global Leader.

Those selected are invited to become an active member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders — a unique global network of peers working to significantly impact world affairs and shape the global agenda.

Saria joined Johns Hopkins in 2012. She holds joint appointments in statistics, biostatistics, and health policy. She is also the director of the Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab, and the founding research director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. Her research focuses on developing next generation diagnostic and treatment planning tools that leverage modern statistical and computational techniques to individualize care.
