Somnath Ghosh, the Michael G. Callas Chair Professor in the Department of Civil and Systems Engineering, has been named a Fellow of The Mineral, Metals, and Materials Society (TMS). This honor recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the practice of metallurgy, materials science, and technology.
Ghosh’s research focuses on computational mechanics of materials and structures with a focus on multi-scale structure-materials modeling and simulations, multi-physics modeling and simulation of multi-functional materials, materials characterization, process modeling, and emerging fields like integrated computational materials engineering.
