Suchi Saria, assistant professor in the Whiting School of Engineering’s Department of Computer Science, has been named one of the “AI 10 to Watch” in 2015 by IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine.
The IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine’s list, which comes out biennially, recognizes young scientists (all of whom received their PhDs in the last five years) who are doing cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence.
Saria is a member of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare, the Machine Learning and Data Intensive Science Group, and the Computational Biology and Medicine Group, and is affiliated with the Institute for Computational Medicine, Center for Language and Speech Processing and the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics. In addition, she has secondary appointments in the Bloomberg School of Public Health and in Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety & Quality.
