The faculty in our department seek to improve the performance of existing materials, synthesize new materials, and understand materials in all of their roles, including in the functioning of biological organisms.
Please join us in congratulating Professors Hai-Quan Mao, Howard Katz, James Spicer, and Timothy Weihs on their recent grants in the first quarter of 2015 from NIH, NSF, the US Department of Energy, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The funding will continue to enable our faculty to address a wide range of problems in materials applications, particularly in the areas of health, energy, and national defense.
