On May 4, 2013, the university launched Rising to the Challenge, a seven-year fundraising effort to further empower the people of Johns Hopkins. To support this mission, the Whiting School of Engineering is committed to raising $275 million. These funds will help to support our school’s four strategic areas.
$275 Million Goal
- $79 Million: Financial aid including scholarships and fellowships
- $70 Million: Program support for interdisciplinary learning, the undergraduate experience, and entrepreneurial activities
- $70 Million: Faculty support through professorships and faculty scholarships
- $56 Million: New and improved facilities including a design studio, high-tech teaching spaces and laboratories
