Yinzhi Cao is an assistant professor in computer science whose research focuses on the security and privacy of our web, network, and mobile systems. He is affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University Information Security Institute (ISI). He joined Johns Hopkins in 2018 from Lehigh University, where he was an assistant professor.
Cao has been awarded the DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA) 2022, NSF CAREER 2021, and Amazon Research Awards 2022 and 2017.
Cao is affiliated with Johns Hopkins University Institute of Assured Autonomy (IAA) and Johns Hopkins University Information Security Institute (ISI). His current projects are Vulnerability Analysis of Web Applications and Security, Privacy, and Fairness Analysis of Machine Learning Systems.
Cao received his BE in Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University (China) in 2008 and his PhD in Computer Science at Northwestern University in 2014.
