Research Areas Machine Translation Natural Language Processing Language Acquisition

Matt Post is a senior research scientist at the Human Language Technology Center of Excellence (HLTCOE) and an assistant research professor in the Department of Computer Science. His research interests are in natural language processing, especially machine translation, but with interests extending into related areas including text rewriting, grammatical error correction, and language learning. He earned his PhD from the University of Rochester (‘10) and his BS from Calvin University (’02). He spent the 2017–2018 academic year working on machine translation with Amazon Research.
