Berkley Conner is a lecturer in the Center for Leadership Education’s Professional Communication Program. Her academic training is in communication studies, rhetorical studies, and gender, women’s, and sexuality studies. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ball State University and earned her PhD in rhetoric, culture, and engagement from the University of Iowa in 2024. Her dissertation explored menstruation and menstrual science as rhetorical sites for gender-making and race-making projects in the United States. Berkley has a background in competitive forensics and has coached writing and public speaking since 2015. She has three individual national champion titles across both the National Forensics Association and the American Forensics Association.
