Ali Uneri is an assistant research professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, working in the Imaging for Surgery, Therapy, and Radiology Lab (I-STAR).

Dr. Uneri’s research focuses on advancing image-guided interventions and robotic surgery through the development of accurate image-based sensing, physics-informed machine learning, and precise robotic manipulation.

He holds a BS in mechatronics from Sabanci University and an MS in bioengineering from Imperial College, London. Uneri received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in computer science in 2016.
