Alden Green is an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a member of the Johns Hopkins Data Science and AI Institute (DSAI). He works on problems related to high-dimensional regression, dimensionality reduction, graph-based nonparametric estimation and hypothesis testing, and selective inference. Green was previously a Stein Fellow at Stanford University and earned his PhD in statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, where his thesis received the Umesh K. Gavaskar Memorial Thesis Award. During his PhD, he was also a core member of the DELPHI group, contributing to COVID-19 forecasting efforts.
