Vision & Image Understanding Lab

The Vision & Image Understanding (VIU) Lab – which ECE assistant professor Vishal Patel is the PI for – has recently had a large number of papers accepted to conferences. The group had all six papers it submitted to the 23rd International Conference on Medical Image Computing & Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) get accepted. The VIU Lab also had five papers get accepted to the 16th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV).

“We are very excited to have these many papers accepted to MICCAI and ECCV,” Patel said.

Among the lab members to have papers get accepted are PhD candidates Puyang Wang, Pengfei Guo, Jeya Maria Jose, Vishwanath Sindagi, Poojan Oza, Rajeev Yasarla and Ahmed Alsinan. Visiting student Rui Shao also had a paper get accepted, as did VIU alum Pramuditha Perera.
