Xilinx, an FPGA vendor, has invested in TeraDeep, a developer of convolutional neural network architectures co-founded by Eugenio Culurciello, PhD ’04, associate professor of biomedical engineering at Purdue University.
The investment is part of a Data Center Ecosystem Investment Program focused on technologies that offer solutions for machine learning, image and video processing, data analytics, storage data base acceleration, and network acceleration. The size of the investment was not disclosed.
