Two faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering have been named finalists for the Whiting School of Engineering’s 2026 Excellence in Teaching, Advising, and Mentoring Awards.

Tinoosh Mohsenin, associate professor, was named a finalist for the Excellence in Mentoring and Advising Award, which recognizes faculty who provide exceptional guidance and support to students and researchers.

Sathappan Ramesh, lecturer, was selected as a finalist for the Excellence in Teaching Award, which honors instructors who actively engage students, create inclusive learning environments, and make a lasting impact in the classroom.

The Excellence in Teaching, Advising, and Mentoring Awards are presented annually by the Whiting School of Engineering to honor faculty, advisors, research mentors, and teaching assistants who demonstrate excellence in student engagement, community building, and inclusive academic leadership.
