This summer, Jeff Lai will be able to use his recently awarded Vredenburg Scholarship to fully-fund his summer research internship at the University of Edinburgh. While there, he will work on Anti-Spoofing, detection of synthetic and natural speech, and will be supervised by Prof. Simon King, director of Center for Speech Technology Research at the University of Edinburgh.
Jeff is currently a Junior in Prof. Najim Dehak’s lab and his research interests include speaker recognition, speech recognition, and speech processing.
