Ways to Give

  • Your annual gift will help provide the margin of excellence that defines our research and teaching. Don’t forget to let us know if your employer will match charitable gifts!

  • Gifts of a larger size can be allocated to a specific area within the school and are critical to our key initiatives and projects.

  • Planned gifts include: assets other than cash or securities; life income gifts through which your assets are transferred while you or a designated recipient retain the income; bequests; and charitable lead trusts through which you save on income, gift, and estate taxes. Once you’ve made your planned gift, you’ll be a member of the Whiting School’s Legacy Society.

  • Beyond annual support, your reunion gift will make a significant capital or endowment contribution to celebrate your milestones as a Hopkins alumnus.

  • Gifts of securities are a popular alternative to cash gifts because they double your tax benefit. In addition to providing an income tax deduction, the donor also avoids tax on the capital gains realized from the gifted property.
