Building a Community of Discovery
Explore Hopkins was created to help build a community where discovery can flourish, and knowledge can drive meaningful impact. Each fall, we seek high-achieving students from across the country who bring unique experiences and perspectives that are essential to fostering a vibrant, cutting-edge intellectual community.
EHOP participants gain direct insight into the admissions process, connect with faculty to explore research opportunities, and engage with current students to understand what it’s like to learn and live in Baltimore.
The application process is selective and yields an experience that empowers students with the knowledge, connections, and confidence to envision their future at Johns Hopkins Engineering.

“EHOP was an amazing experience that truly helped me envision myself at Hopkins for my PhD. It was especially meaningful to connect with current students in the HAMR Lab, which ultimately became the lab I now work in. Those conversations played a big role in shaping my decision to pursue BME at Hopkins. ”
